At present, green iron and steel is faced with two major issues: first, the source control, the development of low carbon or no carbon iron smelting process represented by hydrogen metallurgy;Second, change the steel raw material structure, according to the resource characteristics and development trend of different countries, develop low-cost scrap smelting technology, greatly reduce the ratio of iron and steel.

Although hydrogen metallurgy has an extremely wonderful development prospect, it is difficult to form a new process of industrialized steel before the large-scale industrialization of cheap hydrogen production technology is developed successfully.According to China’s resource conditions, it has become an urgent development goal to change the raw material structure of the domestic iron and steel industry as soon as possible to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction.
